Review

Dating the Undead is an uproariously fun book, written in the format of a magazine that is geared towards “LGs” (aka live girls) who are looking to date or already dating an immortal man. It is a spectacular parody that reads like an issue of Cosmo. There are plenty of articles providing advice and insights about all of your favourite undead men, from vampires to angels to dragon shifters. I really enjoyed all of the different ads, quizzes, and recipes. Dating the Undead is brilliantly written, in that it is engaging and really pulls you in, making you wish that you could have an immortal man for yourself and imagine what it would be like.

Fans of the Lords of the Underworld series get the added bonus of being able to read the first 2 chapters of The Darkest Seduction, Paris’ story. And for those that are looking for an introduction to the series, the first chapter of The Darkest Night is also included. But that is the beauty of Dating the Undead, it is not meant entirely for LOTU fans, it has something that will appeal to any paranormal fan.

While it is a fun, quirky read, I did find that I treated it much like a real magazine. I flipped through until I found something that caught my attention. I don’t read all of the articles in Cosmo, and I didn’t read all of the articles in Dating the Undead either.

Overall, if you are looking for a laugh and some sexy immortal beef-cake, Dating the Undead will keep you entertained. And be sure to check out the “Immortal Icebreakers Sure to Turn His Undead Head”. You never know when they might come in handy. ;)
